What to compare (not just monthly payment)
- APR and whether it is fixed for the full term
- Amount financed (price − down − trade equity + financed tax/fees)
- Loan term (60 vs 72 vs 84 months changes total interest)
- Total of payments and any origination or dealer fees
- Prepayment rules and whether extra principal payments are allowed
